"This book is an outline of the major disease processes presented in a user friendly, concise format. The purpose is to provide an outline review to assist the new physician assistant (PA) in exam preparation. This book will appeal to recent PA graduates studying for certification. The editors are national leaders in this field, and are therefore credible authorities on this subject. Major disease areas or organ systems are covered, and salient clinical features, diagnoses, and treatments are outlined, enabling content review for studying. The presentation of material is non-threatening or overwhelming; therefore, students will be excited to use this as a review guideline. This book is well written and comprehensive. One shortcoming is that more illustrations could have been provided to enhance and supplement the material. A wide range of diseases and conditions are covered in this excellent overview and quick reference. A great general knowledge pool is provided. As a review book, I would assess it as potentially one of the "top picks" of students looking to be successful with their certification on a first time try. "

Read this book before you take the PANCE or PANRE
"As a new PA grad preparing to take the PANCE, I studied a number of different resources. This book was recommended to me by a classmate who had taken the PANCE earlier in the session. I read it cover-to-cover and discovered how many gaps the other books had left unfilled. This book may be the only resource you need for the PANCE or PANRE... it also makes a great reference to keep around. It is concise, easy to read, and complete. I highly recommend it."
